After 4 1/2 years, our Principal Ms. Keenan is retiring. For many of us, she has been the only Principal that we have known at the school, and for many, she was the Principal who made a difference. Her passion for the school, the students and the faculty never wavered. We wish her well on her retirement Journey and look forward to updates on her many travels.

Starting on Monday February 3rd, we welcome Ms. Shauna Davidson who is coming to us from Humbercrest P.S. as our New Principal. We welcome her to our school and to our community.

Parent Council has been busy planning FunFair 2020.

Does your child know how to be street smart?
Student Safety is very important.

It is a good thing to talk about at home as a regular reminder for your child. Being street smart means knowing how to keep safe from strangers when we are alone or with other kids. Walking to school, the bus, the playground or riding your bike in your neighbourhood, being street-smart helps you stay safe.

Here is a list of topics to share with your child to help them be street smart and safe:
• Who are strangers?
• Who needs to know where I am and why?
• Why should I stick with a friend?
• What are my safe spots?
• What are the places that are not safe for me?
• What should I do if a stranger asks me for help?

Why it's important to be involved with your Parent Council:

School parent council involvement helps you stay connected with the school and allows you to gain a broader perspective of how you can play a supportive role. You also network and make connections with other parents, business partners in your community and agencies that share a common goal of student achievement.
