November 11, 2018 - Capacity Meeting

Message from the Co-Chair

Dear Parents & Caregivers,

Robin Pilkey, who is the returning TDSB Trustee for our Ward recently contacted us to let us know about a new study that is going on including our school. Keele is over capacity and Phase 1 to relieve this is the relocating of Mountview (the alternative school) to Runnymede Collegiate. Phase 2 is a study including Keele, Indian Rd Cres., High Park Alternative and ourselves. At first this will be a feasibility study which takes 5 to 6 months to complete and includes planners, the TDSB and construction experts. There will be some recommendations coming out of this study and then the 2nd committee is a program review team that will include parents. This will finally be followed up with a public meeting.

Once we get the details of the feasibility meeting, we will be asking for parent volunteers to join the committee to review the proposals and we will keep you up to date. Any questions, please let us know, however at this point we have only been told that our school is included in and part of the review.

Regards,
Helen Clark
